Carolyn Reid is a dedicated healthcare professional with extensive experience in diagnostic medical sonography. Currently serving as a volunteer for the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography since July 2017, Carolyn contributes as a CME Test Creator for the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. In addition to volunteer work with Community Organizations Active in a Disaster since June 2020, where assistance is provided in Covid-19 testing at Napa Expo Center, Carolyn holds a position as a Registered General and Vascular Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Career history includes a role as an Ultrasound Application Specialist at GE Healthcare from September 2013 to September 2014. Educational qualifications encompass a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant from Yale School of Medicine, a Doctor of Health Science from Nova Southeastern University, a Master’s in Higher Education and a Bachelor’s in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Siena Heights University, along with a degree in Diagnostic Radiography from The University of the West Indies, Jamaica.

The Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography was founded to promote, advance, and educate its members and the medical community in the science of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. The Society achieves its purpose by: * Seeking the cooperation of similar organizations * Initiating and overseeing educational programs * Stimulating and encouraging research; encouraging presentation and publication of scientific papers * Collecting and disseminating information pertinent to the membership * Publishing a scientific journal and a newsletter * Reviewing and establishing policies regarding the professional status, legislative activity, and welfare of its members
