Susan Arnold Christian

Susan Arnold Christian currently serves as the Director of Professional Programs & Services at SHPE since May 2022 and has previously held the role of Manager, Research & Innovation. Prior experience includes working as the Student Recruitment Coordinator at Research College of Nursing and serving as the Director of Undergraduate Student Programs at Virginia Tech for a decade, where significant contributions were made to enhance the engineering program for over 800 students. Prior to this, Susan coordinated outreach programs for middle and high school girls at Kansas State University and was the Associate Director at Girls to Women, Inc., focusing on mentoring and curriculum development in STEM. Additionally, experience includes program coordination at YWCA of Greater Kansas City and educational qualifications encompass a Master’s degree in Youth Development from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies from Kansas State University.
