Mihir Patel

Mihir Patel is an accomplished healthcare professional with extensive experience in various leadership and clinical roles. Currently serving as an Editorial Board Member for THE HOSPITALIST and Chair of the Healthcare IT Special Interest Group at the Society of Hospital Medicine, Mihir holds multiple positions at Ballad Health, including Medical Director of Virtual Medicine and Director of Innovation and Quality. With a background as a Telehospitalist and Chief Hospitalist at Sound Physicians, Mihir has also contributed as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Samvedana not-for-profit organization. Additionally, Mihir has held adjunct faculty positions at East Tennessee State University and Lincoln Memorial University. Educational qualifications include a Physician Executive MBA and an MD in Internal Medicine, alongside a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery.
