Rafael Teran

Rafael Teran, MD, FHM, is a seasoned Hospitalist Physician currently with Sound Physicians at HackensackUMC since December 2014, demonstrating a commitment to providing top-tier, compassionate medical care. With a rich background that includes previous roles at Cogent Healthcare and St. Luke's University Health Network, Rafael Teran also serves as Treasurer for the North New Jersey Chapter of the Society of Hospital Medicine and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Rafael Teran's educational credentials include an M.B.A. in Health Care Administration from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst, an Internal Medicine degree from the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, and an M.D. from Universidad Central de Venezuela.
