Amanda Hessel

Amanda Hessel is an experienced healthcare professional currently serving as a School Nurse at Plainedge School District since October 2021. Concurrently, Amanda has been working as a Registered Nurse at Island Eye Surgicenter since January 2019, with responsibilities in Pre Op and PACU. Previous positions include Emergency Room Registered Nurse at Northwell Health from June 2020 to October 2021, and Med Surg/Telemetry RN at Long Island Jewish Medical Center from November 2017 to January 2019. Amanda began their nursing career as a Nursing Student at Stony Brook Medicine, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Stony Brook University in May 2017. Additionally, Amanda volunteered on the NICU floor at Good Samaritan Hospital in early 2015.
