Blake Stoner

Blake Stoner is the Founder and Chief Reporter at Vngle, a grassroots news agency focused on combating underrepresentation and misinformation through decentralized methods and blockchain forensics. Since 2024, Blake has been a Task Force Member of the Society of Professional Journalists' Local News Task Force, advising on the revitalization of underreported areas in the U.S. In 2023, Blake became a Web3 Journalism Fellow at the Starling Lab for Data Integrity, exploring the intersection of Web3 technology and human rights. As an MJ Bear Fellow with the Online News Association, Blake is recognized as one of the top digital media leaders under 30. Additional roles include Immutable Founder at the Atlanta Blockchain Center, Innovation Fellow at the Brown Institute for Media Innovation, and DWeb Fellow at the Internet Archive. Blake has also contributed to the Solutions Journalism Network's Advisory Council and served on the Board of the Columbia Venture Community. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Strategic Communication from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Morehouse College.
