Diya Yunus

Diya Yunus is a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where responsibilities include mentoring students in advanced database projects and designing course materials. Diya has held various leadership roles within the Society of Women Engineers, including the role of External Vice President Chair, and has experience in software engineering internships at Meta and State Farm, where projects involved developing applications using cutting-edge technologies such as blockchain and machine learning. Diya's background also includes research assistant work focused on enhancing student engagement through machine learning in educational settings, as well as experience teaching mathematics and coordinating community events. An educational journey includes a Master of Computer Science degree in progress, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Business, and an Associate degree in Mathematics.
