Lauren Chao currently serves as the Director of Professional Development for the Society of Women Engineers at Washington University, overseeing funding, logistics, and programming for over 200 members. Experience includes a summer associate consultant role at Maryville Consulting Group and participation in the Deloitte Mentorship Program at Washington University, where insights into the intersection of business and technology were gained. Previous internships consist of process engineering at Procter & Gamble, summer research at the Meyer Integrative Muscle Physiology Lab, marketing at LCD, supply chain management at Spicy Doodles Gaming Inc., and involvement with the Skechers Foundation Teen Advisory Board and the American Heart Association’s STEM Goes Red program. Lauren Chao is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis.
