Digital Producer at Socket Mobile

Richard Van has a diverse work experience in the fields of digital production, videography, editing, media production, directing, teaching, and tutoring. Richard worked as a Digital Producer at Socket Mobile, Inc. starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they collaborated with fashion designer Yuka Uehara as a Videographer and Editor at Tokyo Gamine, where they worked on various video projects. Richard also served as a Media and Broadcast Producer at Rouxbe Online Culinary School, where they produced live events and created culinary education videos. Richard worked as a Commercial Director at Aerial Canvas | Real Estate Marketing Solutions, directing and shooting promotional documentary films. Richard was also a Guest Lecturer at California Institute of the Arts, a Video Editor and Content Creator at Lively, Inc., and a Film Teacher at Town School for Boys. In addition, they worked as a Private Tutor, teaching reading, writing, and vocabulary, as well as two students with autism. Richard was also a Guest Teacher at St. Matthew's Episcopal Day School and an ESL Teacher at LeeGo English Academy, teaching students of different ages and levels.

Richard Van completed their Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Film Directing from the California Institute of the Arts between 2015 and 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed from 2008 to 2010.
