Mark Holtz

Mark Holtz has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Mark is currently working as a Staff DevOps Engineer at Socotra since February 2022. Previously, from 2019 to 2020, they served as the Director of Network Operations and Chief Information Security Officer at PostFI, Inc., where their responsibilities included developing corporate information security requirements and managing digital assets and datasets. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2018, Mark worked at Capcom Entertainment, Inc. as a Senior Software/Web Technologies Engineer, where they designed and developed a container-based microservice infrastructure. From 2006 to 2008, they were the Manager of Network Operations at Mobio Networks, where they managed system/network administration staff and created parallel network infrastructures. Before that, Mark held the position of Senior Software Engineer and Manager of Network Operations at Digital Chocolate from 2004 to 2006, where they designed and maintained the company's network infrastructure. From 2000 to 2001, they were the President and CEO of 3LD, Inc., where they were responsible for the architecture and design of a portable, network-enabled consumer electronics music playback device. From 1997 to 1998, Mark worked as a Senior Software Engineer in Tools Development at Prolific Publishing, Inc., where they designed and developed tool suite and foundation code for a gaming title on the WebTV platform. Mark also has experience working at Remedy Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead, Client Group from 1995 to 1997, and at The 3DO Company as a Software Engineer from 1993 to 1995. Furthermore, Mark has experience as a Proprietor at Immediate Media Company from 1990 to 1993, where they specialized in network and custom application systems design/implementation, media production, and graphic design. Throughout their career, Mark has demonstrated expertise in various areas including network operations, software engineering, DevOps, and information security.

Mark Holtz earned a High School Diploma from Sacred Heart Preparatory in 1987. Mark then attended Saint Mary's College of California, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with an emphasis in Broadcast Media and a minor in Computer Science. Mark successfully completed their undergraduate education in 1991.
