Mark Szymanski

Mark Szymanski has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mark is currently employed at Socotra as a Product Solutions Engineer. Prior to this, they worked at Promineo Tech as an Instructor from 2020 to 2022.

From 2016 to 2022, Mark served as a Senior Solutions Architect at FactSet. In this role, they were responsible for inventing, designing, and developing technical solutions using Python, .NET, and JS ecosystems. Mark also acted as a lead software engineer for internal product support tools, trained clients and internal teams on implementations and new procedures, and produced written documentation and diagrams.

From 2012 to 2016, Mark worked at Blueye Creative as a Lead Software Engineer. Mark also had a role as a Frontend Developer at Vodori from 2013 to 2015.

Earlier in their career, Mark worked as an Analyst, Innovations at NM Incite from 2010 to 2012 and as a Project Coordinator, AmeriCorps*VISTA at Drexel University from 2009 to 2010. Mark also had experience as a Web Developer and Editor at Street Pulse from 2008 to 2010 and in Technical Services at Epic Systems from 2008 to 2009. Mark began their career as an Administrative Assistant at Yale University Press from 2007 to 2008.

Mark Szymanski completed their education in a chronological manner, starting with their Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Yale University, which they obtained between 2004 and 2008. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Chicago, which they completed from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2022.
