Egemen Koçhisarlı

Egemen Koçhisarlı has over five years of work experience in the cyber security field. In 2017, they completed an internship at Saysis Bilgisayar Sistemleri, where they provided software, hardware, technical support and training services to Public Institutions and Organizations. In 2018, they completed an internship at İşNet. In 2019, they began working at İşNet as a Cyber Security Analyst. In this role, they used various technologies and processes to inform the organization and customers about taking necessary precautions against threats from outside. Egemen also worked as a Network Operations Specialist in the Noc department for 14 months, taking the necessary actions for customers to re-establish internet connection. In 2021, they began working at Barikat Siber Güvenlik as a Cyber Security Analyst. In this role, they examined escalated records from L1 Analyst and took action during the day, developed and improved alarms on SEIM, monitored and improved EDR, network security and email security applications, and conducted threat hunting and malware analysis. In 2022, they began working as a Security Engineer at SOCRadar® Extended Threat Intelligence.

Egemen Koçhisarlı attained a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from Işık Üniversitesi between 2013 and 2019. Prior to that, they attended Kadıköy Anatolian Vocational High School from 2009 to 2013, where they studied Database Programming. Egemen has also obtained certifications from Cybrary, Splunk, Fortinet, and Cisco, including the MITRE ATT&CK Defender™ (MAD) ATT&CK® Cyber Threat Intelligence Certification Training, Splunk 7.x Fundamentals Part 1 (eLearning), NSE 1 and NSE 2, and Introduction to Cybersecurity.
