Mert Sarica has over 15 years of experience in the field of information security. Mert most recently served as the Head of Strategy at SOCRadar® Extended Threat Intelligence starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they were the Executive Vice President & Chief Information Security Officer at Intertech Information Technology and Marketing Inc. from October 2020 to September 2022. Before that, they held the position of Vice President, Cyber Defense Center at Akbank from January 2018 to September 2020. Mert also worked as the Threat & Vulnerability Management Technical Lead at IBTECH ULUSLARARASI BİLİŞİM VE İLETİŞİM TEKNOLOJİLERİ from June 2007 to December 2017. Additionally, they have experience as an Information Security Officer at Yeditepe University from June 2005 to June 2007 and served as a Cyber Security Graduate Program Lecturer at Bahcesehir University from February 2014 to November 2016.
