Nicolas Gras

Nicolas Gras is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in mechanical and systems engineering, currently serving as the Space Optronics Lead Product Engineer at Sodern since July 2019. In this role, Nicolas leads technical coordination for space optronics related to space situational awareness and oversees the development of the GeoSatcom HORUS star tracker. Prior experience includes positions as a System Engineer at agap2, where Nicolas implemented requirement management processes for SAFRAN REOSC, and as a Senior Product Development Engineer at Carmat, focusing on the development of a Total Artificial Heart. Additional roles include Lead Mechanical Engineer at AMETRA Ingénierie, Mechanical Engineer at Akka Technologies, part-time teaching positions in mathematics and physics, and an internship studying algorithms for radar images. Nicolas holds a Mechanical Engineer's degree from Grenoble INP and has additional education in Aerospace Engineering.
