Juan Contreras

Juan Contreras has a strong background in operations and engineering management. Juan currently serves as the Director of Operations at Sofamaster, where they oversee daily operations and effectively manages company resources. Juan is responsible for developing and implementing operational plans for manufacturing, supply chain, human resources, and engineering. Prior to this role, Juan held positions as an Operations Manager and an Engineering Manager at Sofamaster. In these roles, they managed and led design and manufacturing engineering teams, hired and mentored engineers, and managed maintenance for the building and shop floor. Juan also has experience as a Production Supervisor and a Manufacturing Engineer, where they focused on employee relations and continuously improving quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale. Before joining Sofamaster, Juan worked as an Operations Rotational Leadership Associate at TE Connectivity and as an HEBench at HEB.

Juan Contreras has a Master of Business Administration - MBA degree in Quality and Productivity from Universidad Tecmilenio, which they obtained in 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, completing their studies in 2014. Additionally, in 2013, they attended Purdue University for an industrial engineering program.
