Omar Drira

Omar Drira is a student at Lafayette College, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics, expected to graduate in 2023. Since June 2020, Omar has been an EXCEL Research Scholar, conducting theoretical research in Transducers under Professor Jonathan Dahl. Additionally, Omar serves as a Peer Captain for the International Student Association, aiding the integration of international students into college life. As a co-founder and head of the logistics department for Sofar Sounds, Omar has been instrumental in organizing unique music events in Tunisia. Previous experience includes roles such as Student Manager for the Men’s Lacrosse Team at Lafayette College, conversation partner in the Foreign Languages Department, and internships focused on database management and software design. Omar graduated as valedictorian from Bourguiba Pioneer High School in 2017, specializing in Mathematics.
