Rory Harwood has a diverse work experience in various industries. Starting in 2011, Harwood worked as a Shop Rite Cashier at Wakefern Food Corp., where they gained customer service skills and learned how to handle different types of customers. In 2013, Harwood worked as a UMass Sales Associate at Learfield Sports, where they marketed UMass Athletics and sold programs and scorecards to fans. They also worked as a Merchandise Hawker for the Somerset Patriots, actively promoting and selling merchandise throughout the stadium.
In 2014, Harwood had two internships. They worked as a Marketing Intern for The Aspire Group Inc. and Rutgers Athletics, where they used Microsoft Excel for revenue strategy and ticketing analytics. They also conducted marketing research to explore new ways to increase revenue. Additionally, Harwood was a Sales and Marketing Intern at Learfield, where they collaborated with a team to run promotions for UMass athletics and acquire sponsors for the University of Massachusetts Athletic Program.
In 2015, Harwood interned as an Assurance Intern at KPMG US, gaining experience in financial auditing and analyzing financial statements. The following year, they worked as an Accounting and Finance Intern for the San Francisco 49ers, completing various tasks to assist with audit materials and compiling invoices for review.
Returning to KPMG US in 2017, Harwood held the position of Audit Associate, where they were responsible for auditing various clients. In 2019, Harwood was promoted to Senior Audit Associate.
Currently, Harwood is working as an Accounting Manager at SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park, a role they started in March 2022.
Rory Harwood obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst, from the year 2014 to 2017. Additionally, Rory also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management from the same institution during the same time period. Furthermore, Rory Harwood obtained the certification of Certified Public Accountant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in June 2020.
