Peter Huszka has extensive work experience in the aviation industry, holding various executive and managerial roles. Peter most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at Sofia Airport since December 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Executive in Airport Operations at Munich Airport International starting in November 2022. From 2010 to 2020, Peter held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Budapest Airport, where they oversaw the airport's services and engineering operations. Before that, they served as the Managing Director at Airport Facility Management Ltd. Starting in 2008, Peter was the Facilities and Security Manager at Flextronics. Their previous roles include Facilities Manager at Jones Lang LaSalle and various operations management positions at KBR. Peter's career in the industry began in 1995 as a Maintenance Superintendent at KBR, where they worked until 2001.

Peter Huszka completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Management at Budapest Metropolitan University. Peter then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Finance, General at Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

Sofia International Airport is the largest airport in Bulgaria. As of 19 April 2021, SOF Connect has taken over the management of Sofia Airport for the next 35 years. The main shareholder in the company is Meridiam, which owns 99% of the capital. Munich Airport is the Airport Operator, which will provide all its knowledge, expertise, best practices for Sofia Airport`s transformation. The concession is a long-term project that aims to develop and modernize Bulgaria’s largest airport by applying best practices and high standards in services and facilities. The development of the capital’s airport will contribute to the economic prosperity of the region, attracting more tourists and turning Bulgaria into a popular destination.
