Emmi Metsküla has a diverse range of work experience. Starting in 2010 and 2011, they worked as an Ohjaaja at Kuurojen Palvelusäätiö, where they supported deaf clients with mental disorders during the summer. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as an Ohjaaja at Nuorten Ystävät ry, assisting mentally disabled and autistic young adults in a group home. Following this, from 2013 to 2015, Emmi was an Osasto-ohjaaja at Rinnekoti-Säätiö, providing temporary care for mentally disabled and autistic children of all ages. During their time there, they also created an orientation folder about computer and information systems.

In 2013, Emmi worked as an Au Pair in America for a few months. Afterwards, from 2015 to 2018, they worked at Eteva kuntayhtymä as an Ohjaaja, supporting mentally disabled young adults in a group home and excelling in administrative tasks. In 2019, they transitioned to a role as a Junior IT consultant at Academy, a part of Academic Work Finland, where they worked until 2022.

Most recently, Emmi joined Sofigate in 2022 as a ServiceNow Developer.

Emmi Metsküla has a Bachelor of Social Services + Deacon degree from Diaconia University of Applied Sciences, obtained from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed The Matriculation Examination at Kimpisen lukio from 2005 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained a certification as a Certified System Administrator from ServiceNow in July 2020.
