Janne Sonkamo

Janne Sonkamo has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Janne started their career in 1996 as a Special Researcher at State Treasury, where they focused on developing the State's internal accounting and financial reporting system. In 1998, they moved to the Ministry of Interior as a Manager, Finance and Reporting, where they were responsible for designing and implementing the financial reporting system for the Supreme Police Court and developing budgeting and accounting processes for Police Departments.

In 2001, Janne joined Nokia, initially as a Project Manager and later taking on roles such as Service Manager and Contract Manager. As a Contract Manager, they were involved in sourcing and managing suppliers for the Nokia Information and Capability Management unit, focusing on marketing capabilities. Janne also had responsibilities in driving sourcing strategies, participating in commercial negotiations, and ensuring alignment with Nokia's sourcing and supplier strategy. As an IT Manager, Janne was responsible for managing ICT systems technology, vendor management, and subcontracting, with a focus on technologies such as Siebel, Oracle BI, Informatica, and QlikView.

In 2012, Janne joined Metsä Group as a Manager, ICT Sourcing, focusing on sourcing and procurement activities related to information and communication technology. Janne held this role until 2015.

Janne then moved to VR Group in 2016, where they worked as an IT Category Manager. In this role, they were responsible for IT sourcing, procurement, and vendor management, working on the IT Category Sourcing Strategy and ensuring timely delivery of IT products and services to internal customers.

Most recently, Janne has been working at Sofigate. Janne started as a Senior Advisor in 2018 and currently holds the position of Practice Lead, Business Technology Finance Management. The specific responsibilities and dates for this role are not provided.

Janne Sonkamo earned a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Jyväskylä, where they studied from 1991 to 1996. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career, including the Apptio Recognized TBM Analyst certification from Apptio in February 2019, the TBM Executive Foundation Certificate from TBM Council in February 2019, the Certified IT Standard Professional (CISP) certification from ICT Standard Forum in September 2018, and the ITIL Service Management Foundation certification from Fox IT in November 2005.
