Nirmal Bandara has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Nirmal started their career at DFCC Vardhana Bank PLC as a Branch Executive in March 2011. In March 2007, they joined DFCC Bank PLC as an Executive/ Branch Officer in Charge, where they handled branch banking, operations, customer service, and marketing. Nirmal stayed with DFCC Bank PLC until October 2017.

In October 2017, Nirmal Bandara transitioned to Softlogic Life and worked as an Investment Manager until December 2018. Nirmal then took on the role of Channel Distribution Manager from January 2019 to March 2022. Currently, they are working as a Channel Manager- Bancassurance at Softlogic Life, a position they have held since March 2022.
