Sameera Karunanayake

Sameera Karunanayake is an accomplished actuarial professional with extensive experience in the insurance and financial services sectors. Since February 2017, Sameera has been associated with Softlogic Life, advancing from Manager to Senior Manager and currently serving as Assistant Vice President of Actuarial. Prior experience includes a role as a Quantitative Analyst at Moody's Analytics Knowledge Services, focusing on market, credit, and counterparty risk model development, and serving as an Actuarial Assistant at Asian Alliance Insurance PLC. Sameera began a career in the industry as an intern at Sri Lanka Insurance in 2011. An academic background in Industrial Statistics and Mathematical Finance culminated with a B.Sc (Hons) from the University of Colombo, complemented by professional education from the Society of Actuaries.
