Basil Rormose

Basil Rormose has accumulated a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Starting in 1983, they worked as a Geological Technician at Randfontein Estates Gold Mine Ltd., where they successfully developed software and mapped the structure of a complex gold-bearing reef. Basil then transitioned to a Sales/Support role at Executive Solutions (Pty) Ltd., where they honed their business and support skills. In 1989, they joined Teamwork Systems CC as a Member/Director, where they closed the company's two largest deals and handled sales of integrated systems and complete solutions. Rormose also worked as a Consultant and Senior Consultant at various companies before taking on the role of Projects/Operations Director at Dynamic Information Network (Pty) Ltd. In this position, they oversaw the rollout of remote desktop support and the design of the company's primary data center. Basil later worked as a Teacher at IEK XINI, where they taught networking and operating systems. Rormose also gained experience as an IT Administrator at Malliaris Paedeia A.E., where they developed multimedia applications and managed internal systems. Basil'smost recent position was as IT Services Director at Softone Technologies S.A., where they played a key role in modernizing the company's infrastructure and managing their move to new offices.

Basil Rormose has a BSc degree in Computer Science from the University of South Africa, which they obtained in 1996. In 2013, they pursued a Vocational education and training program in Big Data & Business Analytics at AUEB. Basil also holds several additional certifications, including the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice, obtained in July 2018.
