Mia Johansson's work experience began in the year 2000 when they worked as a travel consultant for American Express. Mia then transitioned into a role as a business analyst and system maintenance specialist for American Express Global Business Travel. During this time, they also served as an instructor for implementing the Amadeus Mid-Office system, providing training and creating user guides.

In 2008, Mia Johansson joined Amadeus as a technical customer support representative, responsible for second-line technical support and coaching during installations.
