Joenio M. Costa is an experienced software engineer and researcher with a diverse background in software development, community engagement, and education. Currently serving as a Software Engineer at LISIS, Joenio is also a Debian Developer, focusing on Perl packaging and community-driven events. In addition, Joenio is an Ambassador for Software Heritage, promoting software sustainability, and a Certified Instructor for The Carpentries, specializing in Data, Library, and Software Carpentry. Joenio has held various positions in notable organizations, including being a Senior Backend Developer at PNUD Brasil and an Invited Researcher at Université Gustave Eiffel. Joenio's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a Master's in Software Engineering, and ongoing doctoral studies in Computer Science at Universidade Federal da Bahia.
