softwear
Brooklyn-based sisters Sabrina and Jaimie just couldn’t find the perfect leisurewear. They were searching for something simple, perfectly cut, affordable, and, above all, comfortable. A tall order. They also wanted clothing that was high quality, as well as environmentally and socially conscious. Needless to say, their search came up empty. So, they decided to make it themselves, plunging into the world of fabrics in pursuit of the ideal blend. After scouring the country, they discovered a U.S.- based, family-owned mill that produced specialty fabrics in a responsible way. Using sustainable materials and non-toxic dyes, they were able to manufacture something so soft, so smooth, and so spectacular in its subtlety, that it was as if they’d discovered an entirely new fabric. Once they’d perfected the signature fabric, they went to work making sure the cut was flawless, working through dozens of fittings, alterations, and restarts to ensure that each piece fit exactly to their standards. The result? A 100% American-made, unparalleled line with a signature softness unmatched in the marketplace. It is sustainable, affordable, and fits seamlessly. They found it—a fresh, new kind of basic. They call it Softwear.
