Simrat Randhawa

London Chapter Lead at SoGal Foundation

Simrat was born India and later moved to America for college. After graduating from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York, Simrat moved to New York City to help launch Kinsa, a health technology startup that created the world’s first smartphone connected thermometer to track and stop the spread of illness. After four years at Kinsa, working out of New York, San Francisco and London, Simrat moved on to the London startup space, and currently heads Global Onboarding at Hostmaker, a fast-growing Series B prop-tech startup headquartered in London. Simrat is extremely passionate about using technology in innovative ways to create real impact and hopes to empower more young women in the UK to break into the tech and VC space through SoGal London. She has seen first-hand the massive underrepresentation of women at top positions at some of the biggest venture capital firms and has been determined to work towards bridging this gap. Simrat has become more involved in the social enterprise sector in the UK, and was selected to be a facilitator for Drivers for Change – an annual journey across the UK to creative social action.
