Creative Learning Artist-lead at Sydney Opera House

Charemaine Seet is a highly experienced creative professional in the field of dance and education. Currently serving as the Creative Learning Artist-Lead at the Sydney Opera House since September 2021, Charemaine designs and leads workshops focused on the architectural and engineering principles of Jørn Utzon for students across various educational levels. As a mentor to emerging dance artists and choreographers, Charemaine has been self-employed since January 2018, while also directing Seet Dance since November 2009. With extensive freelance experience serving dance companies like Paul Taylor and Doug Elkins, Charemaine has contributed to the field as a professional dancer since 2000 with Doug Elkins Dance Co. and has taught contemporary dance technique at NAISDA Dance College as a Sessional Trainer. Charemaine's educational background includes degrees from the London Contemporary Dance School, where a Bachelor's degree with first-class honours in Dance and Choreography was obtained, complemented by training at the Merce Cunningham Studio.
