Kim Bluett

Kim Bluett has a diverse work experience in various financial and management roles. Kim started their career as an Auditor at Audit New Zealand, where they served as an Audit Manager, Supervisor, and Auditor. Kim then worked as a Finance Advisor at the London Borough of Hackney. Kim later joined the Ministry of Justice in New Zealand as a Senior Management Accountant, where they were responsible for budgeting, planning, financial reporting, and project management. Kim also served as a Manager Finance & Planning and Acting Director Corporate Services at Te Puni Kōkiri, where they led strategic planning, financial management, and human resources.

Kim then transitioned to the performing arts sector, working as a Finance & Business Manager at the Sydney Opera House, where they provided financial advice, budget management, and business planning support. Kim later became the Program Manager, implementing an enterprise program management office and leading disruption planning. Kim also served as the Head of Enterprise Risk & PMO at the Sydney Opera House, overseeing risk management frameworks and driving project success.

In addition to their roles at the Sydney Opera House, Kim served as a Founding Board Member and Treasurer at Shaun Parker & Company, an Australian contemporary dance company, where they focused on strategic planning, funding sourcing, and audience development. Kim also served as a Board Member at Wesley Community Action, contributing financial management and risk management expertise.

Kim Bluett attended Massey University, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Studies degree with a focus on Accounting and Finance. In 1993, they started their studies at Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and completed their Chartered Accountant qualification in 2017. During their time there, they also attended the NSW Leadership Academy and completed the Leading Managers Program in 2017. Additionally, Kim Bluett obtained a Foundation Project Management certification from Prince2.
