Omar al Balushi

Omar Al Balushi has over 18 years of experience in the aluminium and oilfield services industries. Currently serving as the Casthouse and Port Manager at Sohar Aluminium since November 2005, Omar has held various leadership roles, including Reduction Operation Manager, IT Manager, and MIS Superintendent, where responsibilities included developing and delivering systems-related solutions for plant operations. Prior to Sohar Aluminium, Omar worked at Halliburton from 2000 to 2005 in IT management and support roles. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration from the University of Leicester and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Information Technology from Sultan Qaboos University, along with executive education programs at IMD and HEC Paris.
