Ali Ali Mohsin al Lawati

Ali Ali Mohsin Al lawati currently serves as the Head of Central Operations at Sohar International since September 2023. Previously, Ali held various leadership roles at HSBC, including Head of Operations and AGM-Deputy Head of Operations, from January 2015 to October 2023. At the National Bank of Oman, Ali was responsible for multiple areas such as Operational Risk, Information Security, BCM & DR, and Fraud Risk Management from July 2003 to January 2015. Early career roles include Senior Internal Auditor positions at BankDhofar and Majan International Bank, as well as IT Administrator and operational roles at Standard Chartered Bank - Oman, where Ali began in September 1995. Ali is noted for expertise in process re-engineering using Lean Six Sigma methodology and comprehensive management of operational risk across various banking functions.
