Jason Pereira has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of infrastructure and product development. Jason most recently served as the Head of Infrastructure at Sohonet, where they led a team of DevOps professionals and provided technical direction for both AWS and on-premise infrastructure. Jason was responsible for the growth of their team, hiring the right people, and developing interview processes. Jason also served as the Principal Systems Engineer and DevOps resource for the Clearview Flex project, where they played a crucial role in defining hardware research and development, architecture, and ongoing development of AWS-based infrastructure. Jason also deployed on-premise media streaming infrastructure and influenced the direction of features and functionality for customers. Prior to this role, Jason held positions as the Product Systems Lead, Senior DevOps Engineer, and DevOps Engineer at Sohonet, where they contributed to product development and systems automation.

Before joining Sohonet, Jason worked at Codilink as a Linux System Administrator, where they were responsible for maintaining and developing a digital marketing platform. Jason managed critical MySQL systems and the CI deployment pipeline, and created internal tools for monitoring, automation, and software deployment.

Additionally, Jason co-founded LooseInk, a web development and hosting startup, where they worked as a Systems Administrator. Jason oversaw managed infrastructure for clients and provided CMS integration services.

Jason Pereira has a BSc Hons in Computer Sciences from Kingston University, which they obtained from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed a Foundation degree in e-Business Network Specialist from Kingston University between 2007 and 2009. Furthermore, they hold an Advanced Diploma for IT Practitioners (ICT Systems Support) E-Quals from West Thames College, earned from 2005 to 2007. Lastly, they obtained an Intermediate GNVQ in Information and Communication Technology from West Thames College in 2004 to 2005. Jason also has additional certifications such as the NobleProg Release Management and Deployment with Distributed Version Control System from NobleProg in 2012, Cisco CCNA from Cisco in 2008, and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator from Microsoft in 2006.
