Jodie Thompson

Jodie Thompson is a dedicated professional in the animal welfare sector, currently serving as a Senior Major Gifts Officer at Soi Dog Foundation since April 2024. Prior to this role, Jodie was a Major Gifts Coordinator at The Humane League UK, focusing on identifying prospective major donors within the Effective Altruism community. Jodie has extensive experience at Cats Protection, where responsibilities included supporting major gifts fundraising, working part-time in major donor assistance, and serving as a Supporter Services Advisor. Earlier roles included positions at Interac as an Assistant Language Teacher, and at Animals Asia, where Jodie educated the public on animal welfare initiatives. Jodie’s educational background includes a degree in Animal Behaviour & Welfare from the University of Plymouth, complemented by volunteer work in various animal care settings.
