Sojourners
Amar Peterman is a skilled professional in the fields of religion and public theology, currently serving as the Founder of the Scholarship for Religion and Society and as a Program Manager at Interfaith America since September 2022. In addition, Amar has been a columnist for Sojourners since August 2021 and served as the Editor for Lived Theology in Asian America at The Center for Asian American Christianity at Princeton Theological Seminary from May 2021 to August 2022. Educational experience includes a Master of Divinity with a focus on American Religious History and Public Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Moody Bible Institute. Previous roles include Director of the Center for Empathy in Christian and Public Life at Ideos Institute, Associate Director at Neighborly Faith, and Teaching Assistant positions at both Princeton Theological Seminary and Moody Bible Institute.
