Dain Spurgeon

Dain Spurgeon has extensive experience in the solar energy field, currently serving as a Solar Installer at Solar Energy Solutions since May 2018. Prior roles include Residential Site Surveyor at Tesla and Site Surveyor at SolarCity, where Dain primarily conducted residential site audits to facilitate the design of rooftop photovoltaic systems. Dain also worked as a PV Designer at SolarCity, creating grid-tied residential solar PV systems, and held the position of Installer, focusing on the assembly and electrical wiring of solar systems. Prior to entering the solar industry, Dain served as a Wildland Firefighter with the US Forest Service and as an Americorps Field Crew Leader with Conservation Corps Minnesota and Iowa. Dain began the professional journey as a Pollution Prevention Intern with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. Dain holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University, earned in 2009.
