Anna K Häkämies has a diverse work experience in the food industry. Anna K is currently the Head of Product Development and a Partner at Solar Foods since May 2021. Prior to this role, they were a Senior Specialist in Product Development and a Partner at the same company from January 2020 to May 2021.
Before joining Solar Foods, Anna worked as an Advisor in Food Science and Product Development at Potential Foods, a startup focusing on creating naturally functional food for endurance athletes, from June 2018 to December 2019.
Anna K also gained experience as a Product Development Manager at Avena Nordic Grain Oy, Apetit Group from October 2017 to December 2019. Here, they were responsible for food application development and the development of innovative vegetable oil products.
Anna took a sabbatical leave from April 2017 to October 2017.
Prior to that, they worked at Gold&Green Foods Ltd as a Quality Manager from November 2016 to April 2017 and as a Product Developer from April 2015 to October 2016.
Anna's work experience also includes several summer and part-time positions in the food industry alongside their studies from June 2010 to April 2015, and they served as a Food Service Supervisor at Invalidiliiton Asumispalvelut Oy, Validia Housing Services from June 2006 to December 2009.
Anna K Häkämies obtained a Bachelor of Hospitality Management from Saimaa University of Applied Sciences from 2000 to 2004, specializing in Catering Services. Anna K then pursued a Master's Degree in Food Technology from the University of Helsinki, graduating in 2014. Additionally, they completed a Specialist Qualification in Management from Edupoli between 2007 and 2009. In 2005 and 2006, Anna studied Nutritional Science at The University of Helsinki Open University.
