Ann Flaherty

Director, UK at Solar for Schools

With over 10 years of solar experience on schools, Ann’s expertise and knowledge of the UK solar industry in the school market is unique. She has developed solar on nearly 150 schools and is a founding director of Solar for Schools CBS Ltd. With a degree from Imperial London and an MSc in Sustainable Development from the Centre for Environmental Studies she has a background in media, communications and marketing having worked with HRH The Prince of Wales on his Rainforest Project for COP15 and HISTORY’s The People Speak with the actor Colin Firth. Within renewables, she has championed an opportunity for schools to incorporate renewable power into their energy mix. By taking practical steps that clearly show education for sustainability in practice, she believes schools can help students create a world that is socially, environmentally and financially more sustainable, with strong governance.
