Tom Cardale

Tom joined Solar for Schools in 2020 to lead project development, asset management and data communications across nearly 6MW of solar power production in the UK. After graduating from Durham University with a BSc in Engineering in 2011, Tom developed a strong interest in renewables and started working for a biogas plant and has worked on equipment around the world, running installations and providing training to local teams. Helping to get young people engaged in sustainable development and renewable energy – as part of the bigger Solar for Schools picture - is a really important driver for Tom. When not at work, Tom can be found driving his Land Rover around the beautiful Suffolk countryside, where he’s based, or under the bonnet of a classic car.
