Sergey Grachev is a seasoned research engineer with extensive experience in materials science and thin film technology, currently serving as a Senior Research Engineer at Solar Gard Saint-Gobain since April 2022. Previously, Sergey held positions including Senior Materials Scientist at Astrileux Corporation and Senior R&D Engineer at Solar Gard Saint-Gobain, focusing on product development, sputtering processes, and inline monitoring systems. Sergey’s research foundation began with a PhD candidacy at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, where significant work was conducted on magnetic iron nitride films, followed by a postdoctoral role at the Netherlands Institute for Metals Research studying PVD Cr coatings. Sergey also contributed as a Research Engineer at Saint-Gobain Recherche, specializing in thin film characterization techniques. Sergey holds a Master’s degree in Solid State Physics from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI.
