Shawnie McBride

Shawnie McBride has a strong background in the energy industry, with a range of roles held at various companies. Shawnie began their career in 2001 at Mirant as a Manager of Trading Controls. In 2007, they joined Energy Future Holdings as the VP of Risk Management, and then moved to Direct Energy in 2011 as the Chief Risk Officer. McBride continued their career at Direct Energy Business, where they held positions including Vice President of Power Platform Transformation, Vice President of Process Excellence, and Vice President of Sales Operations. Shawnie then joined NRG Energy in 2021 as the Vice President of Sales Operations and currently serves as the SVP and Chief Risk Officer.

Shawnie McBride earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance from Texas A&M University, completing their studies from 1997 to 2001.
