Michael Artinger

Michael Artinger has held various executive positions in several companies. Michael is currently the Executive Vice President at VIC Technology Venture Development (VIC TVD), where they support the expansion and growth of operations through strategic initiatives. Michael also serves as the Managing Director, establishing operations for the firm in Colorado and Minnesota, and as the Co-Manager of the VIC Investor Network (VIN) and Managing Partner of the VIC Venture Fund (VVF). In addition, they are the Chair of the Board of Directors at Cellia Science, Solaris Vaccines, and Zebra Analytix.

Previously, Michael was the Chief Executive Officer and Chair of the Board of Directors at Solaris Vaccines, Neurexis Therapeutics, and Zebra Analytix, all of which were portfolio companies of VIC TVD. Michael was responsible for creating and advancing various technologies and therapeutic candidates within these companies. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Marketing & Strategic Partnering at Sartorius and held various leadership roles at InDevR and Fitzsimons BioBusiness Partners.

Before entering the biotechnology industry, Michael served as the President & Chief Executive Officer of Nanodisc. Michael has a wealth of experience in research translation, innovation commercialization, and business development within the life sciences sector.

Michael Artinger has a strong education background with degrees in Biology and Applied Ecology. Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Ecology from UC Irvine, attending from 1985 to 1990. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued higher education at UC Irvine, where they successfully completed their PhD in Biology from 1991 to 1996. After obtaining their doctorate, they continued to expand their knowledge and expertise in the field of Developmental Genetics through a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Harvard Medical School, from 1996 to 1997.
