Nathaniel Nyakotey

Nathaniel Nyakotey is a Research Engineer and Charging Lab Lead at SolarTaxi since October 2021, focusing on eco-friendly solutions and the development of mass charging systems for e-bikes in Ghana. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Battery Development team on lithium battery packs, surveying client premises for EV charger installations, and conducting maintenance and troubleshooting of EV chargers. Previously, Nathaniel served as a Maintenance Engineer during national service, where efforts included converting fuel motorbikes to electric and assembling electric motorcycles. Earlier experience includes an Electrical Engineering internship at the CSIR - Institute of Industrial Research, where contributions involved building an automated COVID disinfection chamber and developing solar-powered systems. Nathaniel earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and completed general science studies at Achimota School.
