Christian Walker has a diverse work experience in the field of regenerative medicine and biotechnology. Christian is the CEO & Founder of Solaxa Inc., where they are responsible for ideation, licensing, authoring grants, establishing strategic partners, recruiting team, and leading fundraising efforts. Christian also established the first product development effort for the company.

Prior to Solaxa Inc., Walker worked at Neuraptive Therapeutics as part of the Business & Translational Development team, where they created and implemented business strategies to support the commercialization of their lead product. Christian was responsible for translating peripheral nerve technologies into marketable products ready for clinical trials.

Walker also has experience at AxoGen, Inc., where they served in multiple roles. Christian returned to the company after achieving success in a Phase I clinical trial and conducted competitive threat analysis and future product roadmaps. Additionally, they worked in business development at AxoGen, Inc., leading to the launch of two new commercial products and successful grant applications.

Before their time at AxoGen, Inc., Walker was the Director of the Peripheral Nerve Institute at The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine. Christian oversaw regenerative medicine human clinical trials and directed both translational and basic research at Uniformed Services University.

Walker also worked as the Associate Editor for the Journal of Commercial Biotechnology and as the Director of the Military & Veterans Health Institute at Johns Hopkins Medicine, where they focused on cross-enterprise collaboration to develop military-focused healthcare solutions.

Prior to that, they served as a Principal at Tunnell Government Services, providing strategic guidance and managing the commercialization of regenerative medicine R&D and clinical expenditures for the Department of Defense.

Walker's earlier experiences include serving as the EVP of Operations at Telcare Inc., where they coordinated and managed all business operations and facilitated the successful launch of a medical device, and as a Principal at Toucan Capital, a venture capital fund focused on stem cells and regenerative medicine investments.

Throughout their career, Walker has demonstrated expertise in business development, commercialization, strategic planning, and translational research in the field of regenerative medicine and biotechnology.

Christian Walker's education history is as follows:

Christian Walker obtained a BA in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1994. From 1996 to 1998, they pursued a MEd in Science Education at UMass Boston. Following that, they attended The University of Texas at Austin, completing an MA in Cell and Molecular Biology from 1999 to 2002. Christian then enrolled in UMass Chan Medical School, where they obtained an MS in Biomedical Engineering & Biotechnology from 2003 to 2005. Finally, they pursued an MBA in Entrepreneurship at the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst, from 2005 to 2007.
