John G. Kennedy III

John, a 30+ year veteran of the equity capital markets who focuses on the energy sector, established Solebury Capital’s Houston office in 2018. Over the course of his career, he has worked on and led hundreds of IPOs, follow-ons, block trades and converts. Prior to joining the firm, John started and ran the capital markets group at Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. He was also a Managing Director and Partner at Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette until its sale to Credit Suisse and, most recently, a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank in New York City.

John lives in Houston, TX with his wife and three children. He earned a B.S. from Washington and Lee University and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College. John also serves as a Director of public and private companies, and several not-for-profit organizations.
