Bill Acharjee

Bill Acharjee, FHEA, currently serves as an Equality & Diversity Advisor at the University of Brighton since June 2021, focusing on the Race Equality Charter and developing an anti-racist toolkit. Concurrently, Bill has been an Associate Lecturer at Southampton Solent University since 2008, contributing to the BA (Hons) Popular Music Performance & Production program and holding multiple roles including Graduate School Officer and Chair of the Solent Staff BAME Network. Bill's activism is evident as an Equality & Diversity Activist with Stand Up To Racism and as a UNISON SE Regional Black Members Officer. Bill has a background in music, having played with several bands and produced music, alongside a commitment to knowledge transfer initiatives at Southampton Solent University. Academic qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Music Industry Management from Buckinghamshire New University.
