Mariam Jamal is a Research Consultant at Solidarity Center, focusing on digital labour rights policy in Kenya since May 2024. Concurrently, Mariam serves as a K-CAT member for the Digital Health Rights Project, collaborating on community-centered research across Colombia, Ghana, Kenya, and Vietnam until 2026. As a member of the Global Strategic Litigation Council for Refugee Rights, Mariam contributes to advancing the rights of refugees through a global litigation agenda. Previously, as Project Coordinator at Haki na Sheria, Mariam advocated for the citizenship rights of refugee spouses and their children, while also leading a research initiative on the Human Rights Impact Assessments related to digital public infrastructure. Mariam's experience includes consulting for OGO-LAW ADVOCATES in the Environment and Sustainability Division and participating in research on AI ethics at the Center for AI and Digital Policy. With a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, Mariam possesses a solid foundation in legal advocacy and research.
