Matt Black

Matt Black has worked in the renewable energy finance industry since 2006. Matt began their career at Credit Suisse as an Investment Manager/Structurer in 2006. Matt then moved to Black Energy Consulting as an Independent Consultant - Renewable Energy Finance in 2011. In 2012, they joined Foresight Group as a Senior Investment Manager. In 2018, they took on a dual role as Investment Director for Armstrong Capital Management Limited and Director for Black Energy Consulting. In 2020, they became the Chief Operating Officer for SOLIVUS, and in 2021 they were appointed Managing Director, UK for Innovo Group. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Apricum – The Cleantech Advisory as a Senior Advisor.

Matt Black completed a BA in Politics from The University of Sheffield in 2004, followed by an MA in International Relations from the same university in 2005. In 2010, they earned an MSc in Environmental Technology (Energy Policy) from Imperial College London. Matt also holds an Investment Management Certificate from CFA UK.
