Sam Sykes

Sam Sykes has extensive experience in operations and project management within social impact and business development sectors. Currently serving as Global Business Operations Manager at Techstars, Sykes previously held multiple operational roles within the organization. As Managing Partner at Shams Community, Sam oversees strategic initiatives and community-building efforts, notably facilitating over 80 virtual grassroots events during the pandemic. Additionally, Sykes contributes as a Virtual Exchange Facilitator for Soliya, enhancing cross-cultural dialogue among university students. Experience also includes strategic roles at The School of Travel and consultancy for various organizations including UNDP Accelerator Labs and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom. Sykes has a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs from UMass Boston and an Associate of Arts from Normandale Community College.
