Andrei Netchitaliouk has over 20 years of experience in the engineering field. In 2001, they began their career at Applied Materials as a Software/Systems Engineer and Software Engineer. In 2005, they moved to Intevac as a Member Technical Staff, Software/Electrical Systems. From 2010 to 2013, they worked at Elo Touch Solutions as a Senior Manufacturing Automation Engineer and at Varian Medical Systems as a Senior Systems Engineer. In 2013, they joined Apple as a Senior Controls Automation Engineer. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at Johnson & Johnson as a Principal Systems Engineer, helping to make the world's most collaborative robot, while it's inside the human body, operate as safe as possible. Andrei is currently employed at Rivian as a Principal Functional Safety Engineer and is set to join Terraline in 2022 as a Principal Functional Safety Engineer.

Andrei Netchitaliouk has an extensive education history. Andrei attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for the STAMP Workshop in Safety Engineering. Andrei also attended Cornell University for a systems engineering course at Applied Materials, which they completed in 2003. From 1995 to 2001, they attended Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI" and obtained a MSEE in Electronics, RF, and Wired/Wireless Telecommunications. In 2010, they attended Foothill College and obtained a degree in Mandarin Chinese. In addition to their educational background, Andrei has obtained several certifications, including Certified Vision Professional from AIA - Advancing Vision + Imaging in 2018, Certified Automation Professional (CAP) from the International Society of Automation (ISA) in 2007, Certified Functional Safety Professional - Automotive (ISO 26262) from kVA by UL in 2019, Functional Safety Engineer - Machinery from TÜV Rheinland North America in 2018, and Safety Instrumented Systems Specialist from the International Society of Automation (ISA).
