Mr. Rycroft is an expert in commercial negotiations and operations having held asset management and commercial roles in private and public companies in the upstream oil and gas sector across Africa, North America and South-East Asia.

Doug most recently led the post-completion commercial integration of Salamander Energy into Ophir Energy, managed Ophir’s Myanmar, Malaysia and Thailand exploration portfolio, running the South-East Asian New Ventures team and focussing on expanding Ophir’s footprint in the region. Doug previously managed Ophir’s flagship asset in Tanzania, during which time the company increased the resource base to support the development of onshore LNG. This culminated in the partial divestment in the project for USD1.3bn to Pavilion Energy.
